Parts Train - Snow Plow Review from Genoa, Ohio
Website lists snow plow for my vehicle. When it arrived, turned out to be Reese hitch. Called, complained and they say they solved the issue and sent me yet another Reese hitch even after I informed them it is not what I ordered several times now I have to take these items to a fedex pickup center and wait for them to clear the items and refund my credit card... Btw the web site still has the incorrect part # and price listed... Never again

Incompetent customer service agents. Sent invoice with wrong order. Had to correct it, but still received wrong parts that happened to be sent internationally at the cost of $300 incurred by me. parts purchased was $995 for my ml 350. Sent an email 3 weeks ago- until date, no response. Never experienced this sort of fraud in my life. Bad business. Buyer beware. Scam!!!! I plan to fight this until the end. Such companies should not be allowed to do business. Even when the corrected the order, they still sent the wrong parts. I called internationally a a rate of about $1/min, no less than 3 times to rectify order, all to no avail.

Sent wrong damn parts!

Preferred solution: Have the company pay to ship the worthless parts back to them and give me a full refund! My car has been grounded for 2 freakin months and I've had to borrow a car to get my kids to school even, all because of such an expensive blunder by parts train!

Partstrain.com sent the wrong part

I highly recommend to not use partstrain.com. They sent me the wrong part and blamed it on me the customer for receiving the wrong part. Now to ship it back I have to pay the shipping and they tacked on a restock fee that they will take out as part of the refund. They are a scam and should not be allowed to sale online. Terrible business. I will not order anything from them again. I am going to submit a BBB complaint too so other customers don't get sucked into this scam. What more can I say. They must be removed.

Parts Train - Control Arm Return Review from Livingston, New Jersey

I purchased a upper control arm and could not install it right away due to poor winter weather. By the time I installed it, I was past the 30 day return period and the part did not fit properly (about 2mm too large of a pin). I wanted a return. First, they took too long to get back to me and second, they wouldn't make an exception even though it was the wrong part. I will be recommending to all of my mechanic friends to not buy anything from part strain.com

Took My Money I Got No Parts Or Reimbursement!

I needed to buy windshield wipers for my wife's car PartsTrain.com showed on their website that they had them in stock so I ordered the pair, shortly after paying them I received an email stating that PartsTrain.com did not, in fact, have the wipers in stock and that I would be reimbursed my money within a 30-day period. This was a very bad situation, to state one thing then taking my money with them knowing that they did not have the parts in stock, and finally holding onto my money for their use for 30 days. I believe this falls under a legally defined and intentional scam. But the pouring of salt onto the wound came 30 days later, and even up to today, I have yet to receive my reimbursement payment from PartsTrain.com.

Wrong part received and the worst customer support I have ever experienced

Ordered some front brake pads (original are about 3.5 inches wide) and received these little tiny replacement pads (about 1.5 inches wide) with unfamiliar mounting tabs. Obviously the wrong part. No biggie -- these things happen. Tried their RA process but could never make it through the submission -- unable to enter the "secret code" correctly, even though I tried several times and even had my wife and son try it. Called customer service and was overwhelmed at the incompetence. The lady told me that I had neglected to included the year/make/model during the order process which, as anyone knows, is ridiculous: year/make/model is a *requirement* to order a part! Sheesh ... I guess I'll just eat this one. I simply can't figure out a way to get an exchange or a refund. Horrible, horrible customer service.

Mistakes happen, but Customer Service is a clown show

Parts Train - Mistakes happen, but Customer Service is a clown show
Probably my worst online retail experiences ever. Ordered replacement headlight WITH bulbs. Headlights arrived very quickly, but without bulbs. Called customer service and was offered $10 refund and asked to buy the bulbs locally. Bulbs cost 13.95 each on Parts Train website. Declined this ludicrous offer and asked them to just send me the missing bulbs. Was given a long story about how hard that was to do. Received an email a few days later asking me to verify what I ordered. Why don't they have record of what I ordered? Verified that I did indeed order (and pay for) the part number that includes bulbs. Got tired of waiting and bought bulbs locally ($40.00) and installed headlights. Received multiple emails days later saying my return had been approved and replacement headlights were being shipped. Didn't ask for this, don't want this, willing to eat the cost of the bulbs to never have to deal with Parts Train again.

We ordered a fuel pump from them and it said it was in stock, All we got was the run around and lies. I talk to 6 diffrent people all with a diffrent tale of where or if they even had this fuel pump. They had told us it was on back order at first and was 8 to 10 wks out.Tried to sell me a higher priced one, checked on line it said it was in stock. Called and they said they had it in stock and yet again another person comes on no we don't have it. I said then return my money, then it was, we didn't take your money. Well ya you did its on the statement. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AND I WILL TELL EVERY PERSON I KNOW!!!! I wish I had read this first.

Partstrain LIES.......

I ordered a window regulator for my Corvette which on the invoice sttes the motor comes with it. Of course I have no motor and am not even sure if the regulator itself is correct. Customer service is telling me the motor does not come with the product even though 4 customer service reps say that it does. They are now blowing me off line. I had my credit card company dispute this purchase and credited my $$ back to me. Today they offered me a $30 reduction off my charge to buy a motor in my area. I will find them and it will be ugly!!!

Parts Train auto parts company Carson CA

In January I ordered a part, wrong part shipped, company said they were sending return label, label never received unable to get my $118.00 back. I have called, sent e/m's for days all to no avail, bummer. Was disconnected when I complained on their chat line. I believe employees been trained to falsify information regarding sending labels etc. My concern is how many other individuals are being "taken" every day by a company that doesn't care about the consumer. With all the complains how do they stay in business. How does one stop them. L Bickers

Partstrain.com bait and switch

I ordered a clutch kit from partstrain.com that advertised having the flywheel included and verified that the fly wheel was included when I ordered the part. I received my order, but I was missing the flywheel. I was then informed that it was a catalog error and they would not send me the part I ordered. The website has now changed to state the flywheel is not included. Does this sound like bait & switch to anyone else? Should companies provide items that they agree to sell? Will never do business with partstrain.com again. Unethical company at it's finest!

Parts Train shady dealer

- No guarantee what's listed on the website is correct. - CSRs trained to not resolce issues One part (drain plug) was incorrectly listed on the website for the wrong model. The part arrived, and it was noted on the package it wouldn't fit the make/model I ordered it for. Attempted to try it anyway and sure enough it was too small. CSR said they would not pay return shipping, even though it was there error. Called a couple times, sent photo-copies of the package, and still nothing. The part only cost $6, so I ended up keeping it figuring it wasn't worth my time fussing with unknowledgeable CSRs

After receiving an email confirming my order, I waited 2 weeks, then I contacted them asking where's my part. First I get it's backordered, then I get it's out of stock.

Unsatisfactory! Wish I read the reviews of this place first!

Wrong part sent, charging me for their error, horrible experience.please read before you buy from them

DO NOT EVERRRR ORDER FROM PARTSTRAIN. i placed an order for catatlytic converters to a cadillac catera 2000.left side and right side.the supposed part #'s are EAST50352 and EAST50351.the good part is they sent me the wrong parts like 3 days after i placed the order. what they shipped me was what was supposedly 50352 and EAST71317. it took them 8 days to figure this out and this was with me having to make back to back phone calls everyday for 8 days and going as far as emailing them pictures of what was sent. by this time over 2 weeks had elapsed.car still not fixed.eventually, someone figured it out and they billed me again to have the correct part sent.one would think a good business will accept responsibilty for their mistake and take care of picking up the wrong part and then shipping me the new part but nope.they refunded 1/4 of what i paid to have the original shipment sent to me and the cost of the part but still charged me full price for the new part and same price i paid to ship 2 pieces for getting just 1 part. like this wasnt bad enough,i got the new right part which is east50351 but it turns out east50352 which i had sitting in my trunk for over 2 weeks is wrong as well.they shipped me a converter to brand of car. the customer service reps are no help as half the time they dont have a clue of what they are talking about.what i think it is is that their site is showing the wrong parts for the wrong cars otherwise, how can you mistake part # 50351 for 71317.different shapes, size and even cost.they charge me over 200 bucks and ship me a 40 bucks part. fine they have great prices but saving yourself a few dollars is not worth the stress i had to go to.a full month has passed and im still missing one part.now ill have to resort to paying 500 bucks at the dealer which is what i should have done to begin with.
